An argon gas-filled cavity reduces thermal transmittance. A transparent Low-emissivity (low-e) coating reflects heat, keeping your home warmer in winter and cooler in the summer. The spacer bar is the part in between the two panes of glass traditionally made from aluminium. Warm edge spacer bars are made from a highly insulating plastic composite material which greatly reduces heat transmission compared to the metal often used in double glazing.
